Distance programme

“Our distance-learning programme combines the best of both worlds. However distant they may be, students are always guaranteed a live experience.”

— Prof. Rik Torfs

! IMPORTANT !

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 - 2021 academic year will be different to anything we have experienced previously.

What does our distance programme look like? *

ONLINE LECTURES

Using various methods of blended learning all students are able to enjoy our classes, regardless of place and time.

LIVE CONCENTRATED LESSON WEEKS

Twice a year students from all over the world gather during concentrated lesson weeks, where they share their knowledge and expertise in an interactive and stimulating atmosphere.

ACCOMODATIONS

The following accomodations are granted to students with working student status:

  • Exemption from mandatory class participation, besides during the concentrated lesson weeks.

  • Access to video-lectures.

  • You are allowed to spread your exams over the three examination periods (January - June - August/September)

*working students living in Belgium and the Netherlands are registered in the Dutch programme.

Below the programme for the concentrated lesson weeks will be displayed.*

*not applicable for the 2020 - 2021 academic year.

An online alternative will be provided using methods of blended learning. In general, classes will not be live-streamed as this might cause difficulties for some students due to time difference. If you are required to be in Leuven for research, please contact the Faculty timely. You are advised to avoid traveling in group as the Faculty does not have the means to provide large auditoria in order to guarantee safety.
