Canon law relates to society, both contemporary and ecclesiastical.
Both in research and in instruction the Faculty emphasizes social commitment with attention being paid to the methodology of law. Our students learn to examine the set of rules enforced by the Catholic Church that control life of an ecclesiastical community as well as its position within civil law.
Social equality is one of the cornerstones of the Belgian education system, which considerably reduces the financial burden for all. Everyone indeed deserves the same learning opportunities.
