How will Covid-19 affect next academic year?
- This message is intended exclusively for international students at the Faculty of Canon Law, except people from the Netherlands -
Dear students,
First of all, we hope you are all keeping safe and well.
At this moment, the Faculty team is preparing for the start of the new academic year, which will be different to anything we have experienced previously, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our preference as a community is to deliver an on-campus experience, but that is something which sadly may not be possible next academic year. Therefore, we have decided to provide online alternatives for all lectures as long as (some) students are unable to travel to Leuven. Thus, we would like to emphasize that during the first semester of the academic year 2020-2021, we will not require international students to be present in Leuven. Consequently, the concentrated lesson weeks of the first semester will be organised differently: a fully digital and interactive alternative will be offered; creating a blended student experience in which contact between students and teachers is pivotal.
At the start of the academic year, though from a distance, you will receive personal guidance whilst composing your study programme, etc. All further necessary information will be provided timely. Unfortunately, for the time being, we cannot look beyond the first semester as we are awaiting the further course of this pandemic.
Please continue to take good care of yourselves and others.
All the best,
The team of the Faculty of Canon Law
